Lorraine Jordan
Caring, helpful, inspirational, encouraging, and diligent, Lorraine Jordan has demonstrated that no matter what season of life she’s in, she’s destined to make a difference in the life of someone else. Lorraine knew there was a special tenderness in her heart for the elderly from early childhood, that truly magnified when she became a caregiver for her beloved mother.
Lorraine has worked as a Home Health Specialist with CenterWell Home Health (formerly Kindred) in Raleigh, North Carolina, for almost a decade. Her work involves coordinating clinical care for patients, primarily in the geriatric population. Lorraine has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience working directly with social workers, case managers, discharge planners, nurses, and physicians. Hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities are settings where she has been trained to know how to implement her business, which she thoroughly enjoys because it leads to helping others.
To enhance her knowledge of working with seniors, Lorraine volunteered at Hospice of Wake County, where she assisted patients and families with hospice care. Additionally, Lorraine gave her time and helped in various roles at multiple assisted living communities in the Raleigh area. She eventually became a Certified Senior Advisor, further adding to her continual pursuit to learn everything necessary to serve her clients best.
Lorraine’s loving and trusting personality has fostered many wonderful relationships, both personally and professionally. She is known as a woman of her word, getting things done. LorJor Cares, Inc., was birthed from a heartfelt desire to utilize her skills and abilities, strong work ethic, and gifts of excellence and compassion to help families find placement in safe senior living.
Lorraine enjoys traveling, music, teaching, get-togethers with family and close friends, and mentoring young adult women. She serves on multiple ministries at her church, one of which is, of course, the Seasoned Saints Seniors Ministry.
